“Despite living in one of the wealthiest counties in Pennsylvania, 1 in 10 Bucks County residents are food insecure. Among children, that number jumps to nearly 1 in 6. In a classroom of 25 children, four will leave school each day unsure if they will have supper that night.”
Please help your local pantry. Like other pantries in Bucks, our inventory is very low. Imagine needing help, going to a pantry and being told there is no food. My job is to prevent that happening at Second Helping but I need your help. I can be reached at 267-797-6425, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our hours are 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday, 3rd Tuesday 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and 3rd Saturday 10 AM to noon. The address is 1262 Wood Lane, Ste 104, Langhorne (in the back of the Wood Lane Professional Centre). If you cannot donate during normal business hours, arrangements can be made. A few donors have purchased food online through Aldi, Walmart, or Jet.com and had it delivered to the pantry.
The items on our most wanted list include soup, beans, mac & cheese, canned fruits, peanut butter & jelly, Raviolis, Spaghettio’s, and canned meats such as tuna, chili, and stew. We can accept produce.
